Patriotic Skewers for Fourth of July
Food “on a stick” has become a favorite of my children, it doesn’t matter if its fruit, chicken, steak, or zucchini. If it’s on a stick…they’ll eat it. We often make BBQ skewers and fruit skewers for cookouts, play dates and summer parties, so for the 4th of July I decided to made patriotic skewers with Welch’s Fruit Snacks, marshmallow, and blueberries.
*Thank-you to Welch’s for partnering with us for this patriotic post.
Patriotic Skewers for Fourth of July:
Ingredients:
- Blueberries
- Mini- Marshmallows
- Welch’s Strawberry Fruit Snacks
- Bamboo Skewers, 4-inch
*If you don’t have mini-marshmallows, you can cut up marshmallows into small bite sized pieces.
Directions:
- Alternate placing strawberry fruit snacks (red), marshmallows (white) and blueberries (blue) on skewers.
These Patriotic Skewers are perfect for Fourth of July, they take just a few minutes to make and the kids can also help out. There’s very little mess to clean up, and unlike cupcakes and cookies, you don’t have a number of bakeware to clean up after.

I think my son would have a lot of fun helping me make these for the holiday weekend!
I never thought about using fruit snacks on skewers before. I think this would be fun to make with my son and a good way to get him to eat some blueberries too. Thanks for the idea.
I love those fruit snacks!!! This recipe is quick and easy I will definitely use it for an upcoming BBQ thanks for sharing.
The kids would love this treat all Summer long. I like the idea of using the fruit snacks but would love these with fresh strawberries too.
