My children are at an age where they are starting to get into the larger LEGO sets. While we have a few LEGO Duplo sets, I have been holding off on the larger sets as we had little ones in the house, but now that I don’t have to worry about tiny fingers and mouths getting a hold of the LEGO toys we are slowly acquiring LEGO toys. LEGO setswere a favorite of mine growing up, and my mother still has a few plastic containers full of LEGOs that she has been saving for her grandchildren. I’m excited for them to be passed on to my children the next time we visit. They brought my siblings and I so many hours of constructive fun, and I’m looking forward to watching my children play with them.
I didn’t realize how many different kinds of sets were now available until I recently adopted a local family for the holidays and received the wish list from the children. Their middle son, aged 11, listed LEGOs. After taking a look at the LEGO site I have to say, I was a little overwhelmed with all of the sets: Disney Princesses, Marvel Super Heroes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Minecraft, Star Wars, City, and many more. I didn’t realize they had sets geared towards girls, and I especially loved the addition of the Disney Princess line, I would have loved to have pink and purple LEGO sets growing up, we only had the primary colors.

After narrowing down my search, I went with the LEGO Ultra Agents Hurricane Heist and I’m looking forward to surprising my tween gift recipient Christmas morning with this fabulous set.
