How to Make Vegetables Fun for Your Kids
Thank-you to Steamfresh for partnering together on today’s post.
I’ve lucked out with two children who love their fruits and vegetables, in fact they’ll choose broccoli and green beans over french fries any day of the week. For many, including a number of my friends this is not the case and they often struggle and try to hide vegetables in other foods in order to get their kids to eat them.
Did you know that only 28% of dinners include a vegetable?
Birds Eye is working to help families reach the goal of at least one vegetable with every meal. You or your kids may have noticed the Steamfresh sides featuring Disney characters while browsing the frozen section at your local grocery store, I know my kids have spotted their favorites including Spiderman and Yoda.
Birds Eye has expanded their line to encourage children to include veggies in with their dinner. For my kids, food tastes better when their favorite characters are included. Plain pasta and peas with sauce….or Avengers shaped whole grain pasta & peas in butter sauce? Of course they’ll be jumping for Avengers.
The new products include:
- Yoda shaped pasta & broccoli in white cheese sauce
- R2D2 shaped pasta & green beans in marinara sauce
- Spiderman shaped pasta & broccoli in yellow cheese sauce
- Avengers shaped whole grain pasta & peas in butter sauce
The Steamfresh sides help provide a stress-free, delicious meal, they’re also a great time saver for those busy school nights.
Which variety would your children most enjoy?

This fun. I have been in the frozen food section and no seen this. Now, I am going to look.
I love eating vegtables and my three year old grandson likes eating them too-
These are fun and I’m thinking the Yoda shaped pasta & broccoli in white cheese sauce would be the most popular!
Oh these look so fun for the kids! We really did luck out on our little one…as he LOVES vegetables! He would really enjoy all of these meals! I have to give them a try!
