Lincoln, New Hampshire is once again hosting the Ice Castles this year! These amazing ice features include archways, tunnels, slot canyons, ice slide, caverns, glacial waterfalls and a frozen throne. Kids and families will enjoy squeezing, squishing, sliding, stomping and crawling through tunnels. During the day you’ll be able to see natural frozen ice tones, and if time allows you’ll want to stop by at night where you’ll be will able to view the colorful LED-lit ice set to music.
Last year we stopped by during the week around 4pm to view the ice castles while it was light out, went out to dinner and then stopped by right at nightfall for a few minutes to view the colorful LED-lit ice set. If you can stop by during the week, I highly recommend it as the weekend has been crowded and often sell out. When we arrived at 4pm, there were only a couple of other families, and no lines for the slides. By 5:30/6, the area was becoming a little more crowded and there was about a 5-6 person wait for the slides.
