These rainbow waffles are a magically delicious way to start off your St. Patrick’s Day.
Who knew Belgian waffles could cause so much excitement. These brightly colored waffles are perfect for Sunday brunch, sleepovers, or for St. Patrick’s Day breakfast. The kids will agree, these Rainbow waffles are fantastic!
Prepare waffle batter (homemade or box). Mix into six separate bowls. Add food coloring. I use the Wilton Color Right Performance Color System.
Pre-heat Belgian waffle maker, spray with non-stick cooking spray (if needed). Once pre-heated, start in the center and pour a small amount of purple batter. Then in a circular pattern follow with the blue batter and repeat for the green, yellow, orange and red batter. Make sure to fill all of the deep pockets, but don’t overfill or the batter will leak out. Close & cook waffle according to directions on your waffle maker. We have a double Belgian waffle maker and it beeps once the waffle is done.
Once your waffle is finished cooking, cut it in half and serve with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles.
