We are huge Toys R Us & Fisher Price fans, and I’m sure every person with a child knows about both of these companies. Fisher-Price has been providing families with high quality toys that help fascinate and stimulate a child’s imagination for years, since 1930 to be exact.
Toy’s R Us 2010 Holiday Hot Toy List: I recently had the opportunity to review the Fisher-Price Imaginext Tri-County Landfill – Toy Story 3 which is currently in the Toy’s R Us 2010 Holiday Hot Toy List. Little Man fell in love with Buzz and Woody after watching Toy Story 3 a few months ago and was so excited when he saw his new toy.
Fisher-Price Imaginext Tri-County Landfill – Toy Story 3: The Fisher-Price Imaginext Tri-County Landfill – Toy Story 3 provides hours of fun, there is so much to do with three levels of play. Little Man had a blast reenacting the moving and having Lotus try to save Buzz & the Aliens before they hit the furnace. He was kind of bummed that it did not come with a Woody or Jesse figure, but you can buy a Woody figure separately which I plan on buying him for Christmas.
Features:
- Three characters from the movie: Lotso, Buzz, and Three Little Green Aliens
- Three levels of play featuring a giant scoop that dumps the figures into the sorter where they are then spit out onto conveyor belts that drop the figures from one level to the next.
- Lurking at the bottom of the playset is the incinerator
- Quick use the crane arm to grab your favorite characters and whisk them away to safety
Little Man favorite part seemed to be the claw and being able to save the figures from falling into the furnace. I like how this toy makes no sounds, and makes Little Man use his imagination making the characters talk to each other. It also helps the house stay quieter when Baby Boy is trying to take his nap.
Little Man really enjoyed playing with the Imaginext Tri-County Landfill the only thing I didn’t like was the orange scooper on the side constantly fell off. I also thought that it should come with at least one more character, it only came with Lotso, 3 aliens, and Buzz. Woody, Jesse, and Rex are three of the main characters and I felt they should have come with the set also, if not all of them, at least Woody should have.
Recommended Age: The manufacturer’s recommended age is 3-6 years, Little Man is just over 2 1/2 and I thought this was an appropriate toy for him.
