While T goes to preschool twice a week, the other three mornings we tend to supplement with fun educational activities. Since J attends morning kindergarten I have a solid two hours to practice numbers, letters, and colors with T. We recently were invited to check out a couple of the new Learning Resources educational products for 2014. I was first introduced to Learning Resources a few years back and I have been impressed ever since. We have a number of pretend play and educational sets that are fun & durable and have lasted throughout the years.
The first product I introduced to T was the Smart Snacks® Number Pops, which not only to help reinforce his colors, but his numbers as well. The Smart Snacks® Number Pops includes 10 pops with matching shells. Match each ice cream pop covered in dots with it’s correct numbered shells. The colors also coordinate with each other for numbers 1 through 10 to help with color reinforcement. T was excited at seeing the pop design that he didn’t realize he was learning.
Children are able to work in their fine-motor skills with these fun ice cream pops by placing the correct shell on each pop.. In addition to learning time, the Smart Snacks Number Pops are also used during imaginative play, T pretends he has an ice cream shop and will deliver delicious ice cream. He enjoys walking around asking everyone what color they’d like, pink is always my favorite.
Just like our previous educational sets from Learning Resources, this set is just as durable. It has been played with almost daily for the past 4-6 weeks and it still looks like it was just taken out of the package. I have never noticed any fading or chipping on any of our Learning Resources products.
