Recently talking about Zombies has become quite popular around my son’s elementary school, I didn’t even think he knew what a Zombie was until I saw him playing with a few other kids at the park. Turns out, he knows a lot more than I thought including that there is a Plants vs Zombies 2 game.
As a K’NEX Ambassador for 2014 we were recently sent a few of their newer sets including the Plants vs Zombies: Wild West Skirmish Building Set. The boys were excited to have a Zombie set, as Zombies are quite popular among their group of friends from school.
K’NEX Plants vs Zombies:: Wild West Skirmish Building Set:
The Wild West Skirmish Building Set features a buildable level from the Plants vs Zombies 2: Wild West. 4 figures are included including 1 Prospector Zombie figure, 2 Cowboy Zombies and 1 Peashooter figure.
Step by step instructions are included with colored pictures. The set took my son and I about 30 minutes to complete, the only trouble we had was getting the Prospector Zombie & Cowboy Zombie figures to stand up on the blocks, we were not able to get a secure fit so we opted to just lay them against the set.
Once complete use the Peashooter’s shooting action to defeat the Zombies with the included Peas. The Peashooter slides back and forth along the track for target practice.
Mystery Figure Bags, Series 1:
For extended play, add on the Mystery Figure Bags, Series 1 that are available to purchase. Each bag contains 1 mystery figure. Series 1 includes the following characters – Basic Zombie, Mummy Zombie, Future Conehead Zombie, Cowboy Zombie, Peashooter, Bloomerang, Bonk Choy and Sunflower.
Recommended Age:
The recommended age for the Wild West Skirmish Building Set is 5+. The directions were a little complex at times for my son to complete alone but with my assistance we were able to build it together.
