atI love your freezer system for crock pot recipes. I’m totally adopting it to make life easier now that school has started up again.

atI love this recipe, I have been looking to do a bunch of crock pot freezer meals now that our kids are getting very active in after school activities. Thanks for the post.

atHas anyone tried this cooking for 8-10 hours? I leave for work at 6:30 am and am not home until 4:30. My crockpot does automatically switch to warm but I wasn’t sure if the longer cook time would be a problem.

atMy mom taught me to double the time and minus 1-2 hours 4 hours on hi = 6-7 hours on low This works well

atKari P- my crockpot doesnt switch to low either, I bought a cheap timer at Bed bath and beyond, or wal mart, and can set the time for 6 hours or 8. I too am gone for 9 hours or better depending on lacroose practices! The timer shuts off the crock pot and it remains nice and hot when we arrive.

atI will have to try your method of putting the meals together and freezing them……..it would be so much more convenient!
