I love your freezer system for crock pot recipes. I’m totally adopting it to make life easier now that school has started up again.

  2. I love this recipe, I have been looking to do a bunch of crock pot freezer meals now that our kids are getting very active in after school activities. Thanks for the post.

Has anyone tried this cooking for 8-10 hours? I leave for work at 6:30 am and am not home until 4:30. My crockpot does automatically switch to warm but I wasn’t sure if the longer cook time would be a problem.

My mom taught me to double the time and minus 1-2 hours 4 hours on hi = 6-7 hours on low This works well

  4. Susan Lumpkin says:

Kari P- my crockpot doesnt switch to low either, I bought a cheap timer at Bed bath and beyond, or wal mart, and can set the time for 6 hours or 8. I too am gone for 9 hours or better depending on lacroose practices! The timer shuts off the crock pot and it remains nice and hot when we arrive.

I will have to try your method of putting the meals together and freezing them…… would be so much more convenient!

I have tried the better of the 10 meals and love the sausage and peppers, Apple BBQ Pork. Also made the Nacho Chicken very good. I have 3 children 12 to 17 and all play sports. Makes dinner so much easier!! Thanks
