Upgrade your summer with Frozen Shirley Temples and grilled Johnsonville Original Brats.

Johnsonville Originial Brats

There’s just something about summer I love. Okay, well maybe it’s more like 2,352 things. Spending time outside with the kids, bike rides, neighborhood walks, stress free mornings, friends, boating, and of course the food. I could spend every day surrounded by friends and creating tasty beverages and grilling.  My kids would agree as they love when I surprise them with something fun.

I hit the jackpot earlier today surprising them with Frozen Shirley Temples.

Frozen Shirley Temples, with extra extra cherries.

I took a trip down memory lane as I picked up 7UP® at Walmart this past week. Shirley Temples made with the iconic lemon lime flavor 7UP is a childhood favorite. I can remember getting so excited when my dad would make them on special nights, complete with a cherry or sometimes even two on top.

There’s just something refreshing about the crisp, clean taste of 7UP on a hot summer day. It’s even better when mixed with cherry and served frozen.

A Frozen Shirley Temple is the perfect refreshing beverage to go with the Johnsonville Original Brats that I picked up at Walmart for lunch. The Johnsonville Original Brats are a summertime favorite and you can almost always find a package in our freezer, ready for the next cookout. We’ll sometimes serve them with onions & peppers, with spicy ground mustard, or sliced into bite sized pieces on skewers.

Johnsonville products are made with premium port from the US and Canadian farms. The family-owned company was started in 1945 and has been a trusted brand for generations. They’re also gluten free for those following a gluten free diet.
