Make these Red, White and Blue patriotic Marshmallow Pops for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day or Labor Day.
- Red. White, Blue candy melts
- 36 Regular Sized Marshmallows
- Black licorice
- Cookie sticks
- 1 tsp Crisco shortening
Melt candy melts in a glass microwave safe bowl on 50% power for 30 seconds and then continue to microwave on 50% power in 15-second intervals until completely melted, stirring in between. If the chocolate is too thick, mix in a tsp of shortening to thin out. (repeat if necessary)
Add three marshmallows to each straw.
Dip or use a spoon to spread the chocolate on each marshmallow.
Tap against the bowl to remove the excess chocolate.
Place on a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Once the chocolate hardens, stick a toothpick in the top to create a small hole. Add a thin piece of black licorice on the top for the fuse.
