I grew up in a winter climate, and we also were outside in the cold. In fact, kids at school were outside in negative temps! -20 C is -4 F, and it was often much colder than -20 C, yet we were outside almost every day.

When my kids were younger, outdoor recess was mandatory unless the weather was inclement. Even when they were in daycare, they took them outside during the winter months.

I honestly think my nephews would go out in sub-zero temperatures to ride their little motorbike, lol. That’s something you can always get them to go outside & play for!

We build forts and snowmen! We also have chickens and ducks that we have to take care of so that gets us outside as well 🙂

I know my nephews love playing outside, especially in the snow. (Of course, they also like sitting around with their heads in a video game, lol.)
