One of my favorite Christmas traditions is our huge family Secret Santa/Grab Bag among my siblings and cousins. We started it when we were in high school and now the older children are doing their own.

One of my favorite traditions is decorating the tree while listening to Bing Crosby. We also took over the doughnut making duty at my mother in laws since my father in law passed away.

What a great post. It is very important to teach kids that Christmas is about more than just receiving gifts. We enjoy the decorating, the baking and the holiday movies. The kids enjoy toy shopping to donate to Toys for Tots every year.

I can get stressed around Christmas because a lot of bad things happened throughout my life in December (my parents separated, my Grandpa passed away, etc.) Sometimes I have to give myself a mental kick in the butt, lol, & remind myself that’s in the past. There are plenty of things to be happy about in the now.
