I’m fixing several meals so that after my daughter has baby #4 she’ll have easy things that will get her through until she heals from her C-section. She loves onions and since she’ll be nursing may not be able to eat those as much as she would like. So I’ll probably those to this and that with one quick side supper would be done. But I was wondering along with the carrots what other vegetable (and how much) would freeze well with this incase I want to make it a complete meal…any suggestions?? I’ll probably have to freeze this in 2 bags in order to feed all 5 of them anyway so open to any suggestions.

Thank you so much for this site! My sister had a stroke a couple of years ago and cannot cook any more. Making these meals for her teenage sons to be able to throw into the crockpot in the morning makes them able to eat homemade meals instead of takeout or sandwiches.

This recipe was so good. Thank you for sharing. I think that the sauce would work really well with pork tenderloin or pork chops too.
