This upcoming Sunday, November 4th, we will be changing our clocks back from Daylight Saving Time. I’m already looking forward to the summer time when it doesn’t get dark until 9pm, I feel like I have so much more time in the day. The dark makes me sleepy and nowadays I’m ready for bed by 7pm.
This year November 4th also marks the 25th anniversary of the annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program. Energizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) are once again working with local fire departments nationwide to raise awareness on the importance of working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in helping to keep families safe in their homes.
Did you know that 38% of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms? 24% occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, usually do to dead or missing batteries.
On November 4th, when you set your clocks back an hour, make sure to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors also.
We take part in the Change Your Clock, Change your Battery every year, do you? For just a small amount of money you can save your life or the life of someone you love.
The Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program is just one of the ways Energizer brings to life the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in communities across the country. that’s positivenergy™
