During the summer we spend most of our weekends up at our family’s lake house in New Hampshire. Although we spend most of the days outside and do not watch much television there are nights that it would be nice for the boys to have something age appropriate to watch. We have some basic cable channels including the Disney Channel & Nickelodeon that are great for mornings but as soon as night falls there are no shows on that are appropriate for a 2 and 4 year old. The Simpson’s and Family Guy are the only cartoon shows that are on and the boys are not allowed to watch them.
When I was introduced to the D-Link MovieNite Plus, it looked like the perfect solution for our lake house, not only could the boys watch movies on our Netflix account but my husband and I could also enjoy a movie after the boys go to bed.
MovieNite makes every night a movie night, you can stream the latest movies, shows, and music right to your TV. MovieNite Plus allows you to stream new movie releases the
same day they come out on DVD with VUDU. You can also view shows on
Netflix, watch videos on YouTube and listen to music on Pandora.
MovieNite Plus also offers over 130 channels and apps for endless
entertainment choices.
Setting up the D-Link MovieNiteTM Plus is simple and can be done in just three easy steps.
- Plug MovieNite Plus into your TV and power outlet.
- Use the simple onscreen menus to select your content.
- Sit back and enjoy your favorite movies, shows and music that is streamed directly to your TV.
MovieNite Plus is small and compact and fits perfectly on our nightstand next to our television. A remote is also included and makes finding a movie a lot easier. My husband rented “American Reunion” on VUDU and I couldn’t believe the quality of the movie, it looked just like we were watching it directly from a DVD. If I didn’t know that my husband already set up the MovieNite Plus and rented the movie I would have thought it was from a DVD and not streaming. Streaming movies the same day they come out on DVD is great, there’s no need to run to the store to rent a movie The kids love being able to watch their favorite shows on Netflix, and also love watching Chuggington and Mickey Mouse on YouTube.
Buy It: You can purchase the D-Link MovieNite Plus for $69.99 at Amazon.com.
