TOMY Introduces New Chuggington Wooden Railway Trains

Jacob & Tyler got their love for trains from their Great Grandfather who used to have a number of trains set up all around his basement. I was getting tired of tripping over train tracks so last year we were able to find a train table on Craigslist that the boys absolutely love. The boys will spend hours playing around with their wooden train sets, especially their Chuggington Wooden trains and tracks. Last Christmas the boys received Calley’s Rescue Set Wooden Train Set to add with their Over & Under Starter Set, and they just recently received 5 new trains that were recently released by TOMY!

Jacob has been a huge fan of Chuggington since he first noticed it on the Disney channel, now over a year later he still loves to watch the same episodes over and over and instantly notices when a new episode or character premiers. This year the Chuggington Wooden Railway system adds more characters to its collectible line-up of engines including Decka, Piper and Skylar as well as 2 new engine 2-packs Koko’s New Look and Brewster’s Booster.

The new 5 wooden trains are all made with classic, high-quality wood construction and bring all kinds of fun and excitement to Chuggington. Jacob was so excited to see the new characters and since he has recently seen them on television he knew exactly what their names were without me mentioning them. Like the other Chuggington wooden train sets and trains that we own, the new trains are also compatible with other major wooden railway systems including Thomas the Train.

Although the Chuggington train sets and trains can be on the higher priced side, I have seen them on sale a number of times at Toys R Us. They are durable and designed for little hands, our trains and tracks have been tossed around by two energetic boys over the past year, and we have never had a broken piece.
