Last October when we lost power for 4+ days my husband and I tried to find activities to keep the boys busy. My husband decided to make indoor tents out of sheets for the kids to play in, and ever since they have been hooked on building tents. At least once a week Little Man asks me to help him make a tent which requires getting out sheets and trying to attach them to the wall with tacks and to the furniture, Baby Boy always comes along and somehow knocks the sheet off and down goes the tent leaving Little Man upset and needing help to rebuild it.
A few weeks ago I was introduced to a few new toys from Little Tikes which included their new line of TikeStix. The TikeStix™ Clubhouse is perfect for Little Man’s tent obsession, he can build his “tent clubhouse” and we don’t have to worry about moving furniture and putting tack holes in the wall to hold up sheets.
TikeStix™ Clubhouse Features:
- Kids are able to sit inside the clubhouse
- Sturdy building pieces fit little hands
- Use inside or outside
- Kids can create a clubhouse, garage, airplanes, ship and more!
- 1 Fabric tarp-measures: 34″l x 56″w
- 8 Fabric clips
- 41 Interlocking pieces
The TikeStix™ Clubhouse comes with simple directions to make the clubhouse. It was easy to put together and we had the clubhouse up and ready in about 15 minutes. The clubhouse is bigger then I imagined and there is plenty of room for my 2 and 4 year old to hang out. The pieces to the Clubhouse are very durable and it is a lot sturdier when assembled then I thought it would be. Little Man loves to throw a sheet on top and have the inside a complete secret from mom and dad.
The TikeStix also includes directions on how to make a garage for trucks and a plane, but those are not the only things you can make, the possibilities are endless. All of the pieces interlock together easily and your child can use their imagination to make almost anything. Everyday Little Man is coming up with something new to make, last night he was all excited about a dinosaur that he made, and the night before that he made a sea plane. The red pieces remind Baby Boy of wrenches and he loves to use one piece to “fix” the others.
