Instant Pot: 5-in-1 Automatic Multi-Cooker {Review & Giveaway}

My husband and I love to try new recipes, and to find out new ways to cook our meats. We are both huge fans of ribs but we hate the amount of time it takes us to cook the ribs, usually about 2 hours. When I received the opportunity to review the InstantPot I was excited. We have never cooked with a pressure cooker so I was anxious to try it out, cooking ribs in 30 minutes sounded amazing.

The Instant Pot is an electric pressure cooker that can speed up cooking times by 2-6 times, and uses 70% less energy. The Instant Pot is a 5-in-1 automatic multi-cooker, and combines a variety of small household appliances including a rice cooker, slow cooker, pressure cooker, steamer and warmer.

We had a rack of ribs already marinating, so instead of cooking them on the grill we decided to cook them in the Instant Pot. Since we already marinated them, I put them on the grill for a few minutes on each side to brown them and then I cut them into 1/4 pieces and added them into the Instant Pot with about 1/2 cup of water. I closed the lid, pressed the "meat" button and the pressure cooker started to go to work. 30 minutes later we had a full rack of ribs waiting for us to devour them. My husband was amazed that the ribs were already fully cooked at the end of the 30 minutes, they tasted delicious. I can't wait to try a BBQ recipe with ribs and the Instant Pot this week.
