When I was pregnant with Little Man, I can remember how overwhelming it was. I never knew there would be so many strollers or car seats to choose from, it seemed like every store I went in there was some new product that I wasn’t sure if I needed or not.
HALO recently polled its Facebook community to find out the top gifts received at baby showers. Here are the results:
- SleepSack wearable blanket
- Outfits and other clothes
- Car seat
- Pack n play
- Activity gym
- Carrier or sling
- Breast pump
While everything on the list is a must have on my list, I
also thought a swing and either a jumperoo/exersaucer are a must have.
Both of the boys loved their swings and while we had both an exersaucer
and jumperoo, only one is necessary. The exersaucer and jumperoo
provided Little Man and Baby Boy hours of entertainment when I needed
some down time or wanted a free hand to clean the house.
I never realized how much I would use a SleepSack, but with both boys being born in the winter I used one every single night. Years ago a friend of mine lost her son to SIDS, I always had Andy’s death in the back of my head, and I was always paranoid that either Little Man or Baby Boy would pull the blanket over their heads and get stuck, so instead of using a blanket during naps and overnight I would use a SleepSack.
